Testimonials & Pics & Video

Word of Mouth has been our only real way of advertising for the past 37+ years.  Thank you for passing the word and we look forward to serving you for a long, long time.

Thanks,

Woody

Some things our customers have written and sent us over the last few years:

It's been a while but I just wanted to let you know that the wheels you built for me have survived the Rally in France with no issues what so ever ;>)) Only problem was, I killed the clutch with all those steep rocky climbs but managed to fix it for my ride back to Annecy after the event.

Thanks for putting together these bullet proof wheels ;>)

Hey Woody,
Thanks again for all you and your crew did for me during my visit.

Well, for what it's worth, Woody...

You'll be getting another order from me for a 3.5" rear with a billet hub, Excel rim, superlace, and a tubeless hunk of dualsport rubber. And shortly thereafter, you'll be receiving my original hub with street rubber for the "Dr. Woody surgery". Problem solved once and for all.

And for anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to use one of these billet hubs and bomb-proof spoke jobs I highly recommend finding one or passing through the shop on your next trip and checking it out. It'd take driving over a landmine to even come close to damaging this serious hunk of hardware. Expensive, but very worth it to not be stranded 60 miles deep on a trail somewhere with a taco shaped doughnut. If you're a true off roader, there's simply no other way to go - very impressive.

Just thought I'd add an update. I came home last week from a 31k km tour of Canada and the US on wheels built by Woody's. (He also repaired my rear hub as it had cooked the bearings in the first 6k kms I put on the bike.)
I had no wheel troubles whatsoever. No bearing failures, no bent rims. Flat tires of course, but it sure was nice to just push a plug into that rear rather than pulling the tube. Overall, I am very pleased. Thanks again to you and your crew Woody! Anyone sitting on the fence about the price or the quality, consider this a little shove...

This wheel was custom made by Woody's Wheel Works in Denver, CO(for a KLR650). It has been Superlaced with a much stronger 90 degree lace pattern, thicker stainless steel spokes and has a black 4.25" Excel rim. The wheel also comes with a 150mm Michelin Anakee tire. However, no cushdrive or brake rotor is included with the wheel. If you are looking for a Supermoto wheel this one is the best there is. $500 and I will pay the shipping. First person to PM me stating that they will buy it, gets it! Thanks!

Sent in my nicely bent vstrom front wheel for repair. Jill promptly replied with a cost estimate once wheel was received. I paid up, and work began. Received wheel Friday, and it looked great. Thanks again.

Trying to spread the word! Thanks again for your help and quick turnaround...a friend recommended I contact Woody's Wheel Works to build the wheels. I supplied the tire info and sent the stock hubs, and they powdercoated, laced and mounted the finish product
