In 2006, when BMW released the HP2 Enduro, they offered an add-on of a complete second Super Motard wheel set. They wisely knew owners would maximize this bike's capabilities with the versitility of a complete second street wheel set to go with their dirt wheel set. With the bolt-on utility of the shaft drive and the dual bolt pattern of the front brake caliper either wheel set can be on in 15 minutes, making it two great bikes in-one. In his infinite wisdom, Woody just as wisely knew to buy up last remaining NOS SuMo wheel sets which you can take advantage of knowing these can no longer be found elsewhere (price does not include tires but we can get these for you upon request).

Using a proprietary multi-layered process we seal tube-type rims with safety beads, for a street or dirt wheel set. Our process has been perfected after the development of many generations of experiments to provide a tubeless alternative to true tubeless rims like the BMW and Caponard rims at less cost. We can do this building a new wheel set using Excel 7000 series rims. We highly recommend you have us create this tubeless solution using our proprietary Superlace lacing patter with Stainless Steel Spokes and Nipples, which provides the greatest performance and strength. Though we cannot guarantee the sealing process, Superlacing is designed to not come out of true for 1 year guaranteed.

BMW X-Lace Using Replacement Parts

If the rim is unrepairable in need of replacement:

If your spokes or nipples are starting to rust

then we can replace your spokes and nipples with Stainless Steel Spokes & Anthracite Nipples, good used parts usually available for cost savings.  Add to any of the above pricing.

If you're doing a lot more off-road and you want a stronger wheel

We can replace the damaged x-lace rim with a conventionally laced Excel rim, Monzter Stainless Steel Spokes, Stainless Nipples, Superlace it.

We can build the best and lightest wheels available for this bike using our Superlite Hubs, saving about 4 pounds of un-sprung weight on the front and 3 pounds on the rear.

If you want the front rim to be replace with a 21"

There are times when the R1200 19" does not allow you to pick through the rocks, while going off-road.  People who go this route, rave about it for the off-road capabilities.  Either by replacing with a stock BMW rim, if you want to match the rear and keep tubeless, with a conventionally laced Excel, if you want to save money, or with our Superlite hubbed wheels, if you want the ultimate solution.
